Yesterday, we made a huge push with packing, loading the truck with things going to storage, and even started cleaning, thanks to Cathryn. She's awesome at packing/organizing boxes and "stuff" - and very methodical in cleaning. If she turned this into a career, she'd be making big bucks. This could be a great service to people who are moving or just trying to organize their "stuff."
Son Holland was like a truck-loading machine - his experience loading and unloading the band truck really paid off. This morning, Jan. 9, we will make another effort to bring things into storage and after that, things should look better.
Friend Tom came by yesterday to put up the curtain rods and to patch some minor holes. This would have taken me a day to do. Cathryn and I put up the curtains last night (curtains that came with this place 14 years ago).
Friend JoAnn is coming by at 11am with lunch :) After that, I am going back to U-Haul to pick up the car-pull-thingy - where you drive your car on a ramp to pull behind the moving truck. Now that I think about it, it's probably called a car ramp?
Friends Laura and Joshua are coming over tonight to tackle the kitchen packing. Sometime today I need to start on my clothes and the bedroom drawers and the office will be packed Saturday after the movers have left.
